The system outage this morning was the result of a hardware malfunction on the Storage Area Network. This system provides disk services to a majority of legislative servers. All major components of this system are redundant in order to prevent this type of outage, but the redundant components didn’t work correctly this morning.
The vendor is currently assessing the diagnostic logs LSC has provided to them to determine why this occurred and prevent future occurrences.
At this time all major systems are up and available. Please contact your CSF if you have any questions or concerns.”
Apparently, we need backups for our backups, so our computers don’t crash for three hours the first morning of the legislative session.
